What's the process for getting my video/film captioned?

We work from your master and a working copy of the tape to create the caption file in-house, including text, placement, and timing. We deliver to you a new encoded master in the format you request, along with your original materials. Do you work with Beta SP, Digital Betacam, D3, D5, or one-inch? So do we.

LNS Captioning has earned the prestigious designation of an approved captioning service vendor for the Captioned Media Program. LNS is one of only a small number of captioning companies nationwide to meet the strict requirements for this program, sponsored by the Office of Special Education Programs, U.S. Department of Education.

Are there different styles of captioning?

Pop-up captions are individually placed, and used when aesthetics are important. Roll-up captions appear in a scrolling 2-3 line block at the top or bottom of the screen. When cost is a significant driver, roll-up could be a good choice.
