LNS has experience providing realtime captioning for state and local government meetings and public events. Many governmental entities provide cable coverage of public meetings and provide captioning to reach all viewers. The live meeting coverage is sent via phone line to a captioner at an off-site location with captioning equipment. An encoder is required to embed the captions into the needs to have video signal. The encoder needs to have a modem and phone line to receive the captions.
