Realtime event captioning also known as Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART) provides access for deaf and hard of hearing participants to events, conventions, conferences, classes, public hearings, presentations and meetings. Realtime captioners offer immediate, verbatim, voice-to-text translation via realtime captioning. The captioner can provide access for individuals on a laptop display or connect to a projector to give the whole audience access to captions.
